Born and raised in Palmetto, Florida, I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life — many of them with challenging behaviors that sparked a curiosity in me early on. Though that interest didn’t fully take shape until adulthood, it eventually grew into a lifelong passion for understanding canine behavior and helping people build stronger, more balanced relationships with their dogs.

While serving in the U.S. Coast Guard along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, I started training dogs — not for profit, but to gain experience and learn as much as I could. Working with so many breeds and behavioral challenges taught me the value of patience, consistency, and clear communication. Over time, I developed a training approach that focuses on transforming how dogs and their owners communicate to one another. My program is built around full-spectrum communication — using voice, leash cues, hand signals, and properly conditioned e-collar work to create clear understanding and total off-leash reliability.

Now living in Parrish, Florida, with my wife and high school sweetheart, Chloe, our German Shepherd, Gator, and our cats, Guru and Goose, I’m dedicated to helping families create confident, balanced, and lasting relationships with their dogs.

Meet Jacob, your dog trainer…

Your family, becomes a part of my family.

Our Board & Train program offers an immersive training experience where your dog lives and learns in a real home environment—not a kennel. During their stay, your dog becomes part of our family, receiving daily structure, socialization, and personalized training designed to meet your specific goals.

Because training takes place in a calm, family setting, your dog learns how to behave appropriately in everyday situations—around people, other pets, and typical household distractions. This real-world approach builds confidence, consistency, and reliability that lasts long after they return home.

Throughout the program, we use clear communication, positive reinforcement, and balanced structure to help your dog develop focus, obedience, and manners. At the end of training, we provide a detailed handover session and ongoing support to ensure you feel confident continuing your dog’s progress at home.

Jacob’s Time with the United States Coast Guard

Jacob Soos proudly served five years in the United States Coast Guard as a Boatswain’s Mate Second Class, where he honed the discipline, leadership, and commitment to service that continue to guide him today. In this role, he contributed to search and rescue operations, law enforcement missions, and hurricane response efforts, gaining invaluable real-world experience under high-pressure conditions. During his final years of service, Jacob discovered a passion for dog training, sparked by the bond with his own German Shepherd, Gator. What began as a personal pursuit quickly grew into a calling, as Jacob realized how deeply he enjoyed helping dogs reach their potential and strengthening the relationships between dogs and their owners.

When the time came to reenlist, Jacob and his wife made the decision to step away from military life and return to their hometown in Florida. Together, they chose to build a future rooted in their shared passion for animals and community. Today, Jacob has turned that passion into a professional career in dog training, blending his military background with his natural patience and dedication to help every dog he works with succeed.
